A link between earth and the ISS

Being away from Earth for extended periods can negatively affect astronauts' mental health. Eklosion, aims to strengthen the connection between astronauts and Earth. In space, what’s more familiar than a plant? Thomas Pesquet’s missions focus on the growth of a French marigold, cared for by the astronaut. The project highlights the importance of nature, with Eklosion acting as a capsule to contain it in space. After two years of work and testing, we’re excited to see our technology and design come to life on the ISS, as part of the CNES ISS Generation contest.
